The Lodge, Hadleigh (Sleeps 6)
A delightfully presented town house in the very centre of the charming medieval town of Hadleigh. The Lodge has four bedrooms, 1 double, and 2 singles on the first floor, a twin bedded room on the ground floor), each of the bedrooms has an en suite bathroom or shower room. There is a large living room and well equipped kitchen. Despite its very central position the Lodge has a private patio garden and holidaymakers are welcome to use the large lawned gardens of Edge Hall (next door) in which to relax. Pets are most welcome. Private parking for at least 2 cars in also provided.
A great base from which to explore the architecture of Hadleigh and its beautiful surroundings; one of a number of medieval wool towns in the area Kersey, Sudbury, Bury, Lavenham and Long Melford are all within an easy drive.
The architecture of Hadleigh is fascinating, its central streets with examples of medieval timber framed shops and fine houses from the Regency and Victorian periods. The 15th century Guildhall, Deanery Tower and church are a magnificent trio of huge appeal and contrasting construction. The charming little Brett river runs through the centre of the town and is a joy to explore on foot.
Not far from Flatford Mill, and Dedham the Lodge makes an ideal base for exploring Constable Country.Sleeps 6 - 2 doubles and 2 singles.
