Orchard Barn, Hadleigh (Sleeps 3)

Situated in the heart of the town behind Benton Street, where the rich medieval wool merchants built their prestigious homes, Orchard Barn has been beautifully converted by its owner, an interior designer, who has used her professionalism to create a really charming and comfortable holiday home for 3 to 4 people.

The ground floor has a small twin bedroom - ideal for one adult or two children and en-suite shower room with w.c. and basin, whilst the first floor includes a wonderful open plan living room, double bedroom and en suite bathroom. The property makes the perfect base from which to explore Suffolk's wool towns and Constable Country.   Outside there is a secluded patio area with table and chairs and off street parking for 1 to 2 cars.  The property has wifi so works well, even if you have to do some work during your stay.

Hadleigh, on the Suffolk, Essex border is just 9 miles from Lavenham and is one of the famous medieval wool towns.  Hadleigh is a charming market town on the river Brett, the vast majority of its town centre buildings dating back to the medieval period.  The town has some wonderful independent shops, charming cafes, restaurants and pubs and is a lovely area for walkers.  Orchard Barn is close to both a lovely river walk and a walk along the disused railway line to Raydon - a delightful walk through peaceful and picturesque countryside. Just a couple of miles from this delightful holiday property is Wolves Wood, an RSPB reserve with woodland nature trails and no wolves!

Sleeps 3+1 - 1 double, 1 twin.

"We loved the cottage and it was great to be able to explore such a lovely town [Hadleigh] on foot. So much to see, we will have to come again."
